Dr. Moore and Dr. Lowder met while they attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans and quickly realized that they had the same passion to serve their communities through dentistry. Out of their friendship and desire to provide quality dental care, Southern Roots Dentistry was born.
Dr. James Lowder was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School. Dr. Lowder earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Lowder completed dental school at LSU School of Dentistry and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree. Dr. Lowder finds joy in spending time with his wife, Katie, and son, Huck. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Louisiana Dental Association.
Dr. Richard “Reed” Moore was born and raised in Benton, Louisiana where he graduated from Benton High School. After high school, Reed graduated from Louisiana State University of Shreveport with a degree in Biology and then moved to New Orleans where he attended the LSU School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Louisiana Dental Association. Dr. Moore is married to his high school sweetheart Laura Moore. While not in the office, he likes spending time on the lake or in the woods enjoying Louisiana outdoor sports.
Abby obtained her undergraduate degree in communication disorders from LSU Baton Rouge and obtained her masters degree in speech-language pathology from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Abby grew up in Benton, Louisiana and currently lives there with her husband Cale and their dog Bodie. She loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Brittany was born and raised in Coushatta, LA, where she currently resides with her husband, Darrell. She attended LSUS and BPCC where she graduated with honors in General Science. She later received her E.D.D.A. certification from ULM. Brittany knows the three most important things in life are God, family, and friends. She loves spending time with her family, playing with her animals, and being in the outdoors.
